In a follow-up to the initial announcement made in May, the recent Microsoft Xbox mini-showcase unveiled a gameplay trailer for the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. This classic from the 2004 PlayStation 2 era has undergone a significant upgrade, now powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Remaining faithful to the original, the stealth action game has been reimagined to meet contemporary gaming standards while preserving the iconic aesthetic and style of the Fox Engine graphics. The “first in-engine look” provides a glimpse of the enhanced graphics, featuring Naked Snake, and introduces the exciting addition of the character’s ability to move while crouching.

Developed by Konami, the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake benefits from artistic and development contributions from the Singapore-based studio Virtuos. Although the original director, Hideo Kojima, and the original artist, Yoji Shinkawa, are not directly involved in the project, the game will retain the original voice performances.
