In a groundbreaking advancement, the Otermans Institute (OI) has made significant strides in reshaping the educational landscape by deploying AI-powered teachers to deliver comprehensive 9-lesson courses at universities and institutions across four continents. This transformative approach not only involves AI instructors teaching and evaluating students but also encompasses the creation of course content, marking a paradigm shift in the fundamental nature of education.

Utilizing OIAI technology—a refined language model developed by OI—virtual and digital education has transcended the constraints of traditional one-way instruction, evolving into a dynamic, two-way conversation between students and their AI teachers. Pioneering this educational revolution, institutions such as the Arab American University (Palestine), Bahria University (Pakistan), Ibn Haldun University (Turkey), the Catholic University of East Africa (Kenya), and the University of the Americas (Chile) have set a precedent for global adoption.

Dr. Pauldy Otermans and Dev Aditya, founders of the Otermans Institute, expressed their commitment to expanding AI-powered teaching capabilities to 40 universities by September 2024, while concurrently exploring integration tests of OIAI into existing digital learning platforms.

Since November 2023, over 80% of learners have successfully completed the OIAI course, yielding a high student satisfaction rate of 94%, showcasing the promising impact of OIAI on digital education.

Having supported more than 35,000 learners to date, OI collaborates with governments and UN agencies in 13 countries to deliver AI-driven training and education, bringing professional development skills to disadvantaged areas.

Currently, the Otermans Institute has deployed its AI teachers to support the Women in STEAM initiative in Kenya and Zambia. Caroline Nyaga, a spokesperson for the initiative, emphasized the importance of ensuring Africans are not left behind in the 21st-century economy, citing the positive impact of connecting educators and students with AI teachers as a rewarding experience.

The digital human teachers developed by the Otermans Institute possess a human-like appearance and voice, enabling seamless interaction with learners through voice and text inputs. Dev Aditya, co-founder of Otermans, highlighted the adaptability of AI teachers in tailoring classes to individual student needs, providing real-time answers to questions, and offering personalized feedback through student conversations.
