Apple introduces two new MacBook models: the 13-inch and 15-inch Air featuring M3 processors. These laptops maintain the familiar design of their predecessors, sporting notched displays housed in aluminum unibody enclosures, available in Midnight, Starlight, Space Gray, and Silver. The inclusion of the latest M3 chipsets promises enhanced performance and efficiency.

Pricing remains consistent with previous versions, with the 13-inch MacBook Air starting at $1,099 and the 15-inch MacBook Air starting at $1,299. Preorders commence today, and the laptops will be officially released in stores on March 8, this Friday.

“MacBook Air is our most popular and beloved Mac, chosen by more customers than any other laptop. Today, it becomes even better with the M3 chip and enhanced capabilities,” remarked Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, in a Monday press release.

The highlight of the latest models centers on the M3 chip’s performance. Apple’s 3-nanometer processor boasts an 8-core CPU, up to a 10-core GPU, and supports up to 24GB of unified memory. According to the company, these upgrades make the updated MacBook Airs up to 60% faster than their M1 predecessors and up to 13 times faster than the highest-configured Intel-based Air models.
