Disney+ Unveils Live-Action Reboot of ’90s Classic ‘Gargoyles’

Expanding on the universe established by the original Disney series that aired from 1994 to 1997.

According to recent reports, Disney+ is currently in the process of developing a live-action revival of the beloved ’90s animated series, Gargoyles. This highly-anticipated series will reimagine and explore the story of Goliath, “the last remaining heroic member of an ancient race of gargoyle warriors who once coexisted with humanity. Finally free from a centuries-old curse that had turned him into stone, Goliath embarks on a quest to unravel the enigma of his past while safeguarding present-day New York City alongside the capable police detective Elisa Maza.”

The live-action adaptation of Gargoyles will be penned by the acclaimed screenwriter behind It, Gary Dauberman, who will also take on the roles of executive producer and showrunner. Additionally, James Wan and Michael Clear will serve as executive producers through Wan’s esteemed production company, Atomic Monster.
