In the emotionally charged video game sequel, The Last of Us Part 2, Wright portrays Isaac Dixon, a former marine and the leader of the Washington Liberation Front (WLF). Wright is set to bring this character to life once again in HBO’s highly acclaimed live-action adaptation. The actor announced the news on Instagram with a simple caption: “Surprise.”

With Wright’s addition, the major cast for The Last of Us season 2 is now complete: Isabela Merced (Dora the Explorer) will play Dina, Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) will take on the role of Abby, and Young Mazino (Beef) will portray Jesse. Wright joins a growing list of voice/motion capture actors from the video game franchise transitioning to the show. Merle Dandridge reprised her role as Marlene in season 1, while Troy Baker, the voice of Joel, and Ashley Johnson, the voice of Ellie, made cameos, with Johnson portraying Ellie’s mother.
